NAEM LogoNAEM: ISS Corporate Services (ICS) began collaborating with NAEM, formerly the National Association for Environmental Management, in 2010. Through this collaboration, NAEM corporate professionals working on environmental and climate-related issues have an opportunity to provide input on the Carbon Data Form, a tool through which corporate issuers submit data on their carbon emissions-related policies and practices to the MSCI ESG Research team. NAEM's "Metrics that Matter" program identifed key metrics for the EHS professionals in their organization. Many of these metrics correspond with points on Carbon Data Form datapoints collected for sustainability ratings products. ICS and NAEM's shared goal is to identify the key sustainability issues companies should monitor and also consolidate questionnaires to reduce sustainability survey fatigue.

NAEM is the leading professional environmental association dedicated to the advancement of the principles and profession of environmental, health and safety (EHS) management. The organization was founded in 1990 by a small group of environmental managers to create a space where environmental managers across industries could exchange ideas and share knowledge and insights. NAEM's members are corporate Environmental and EHS managers interested in educational events and professional networking. The organization offers webinars, workshops, conferences and more to help its "in-house" corporate members and service provider affiliate members stay in touch with the latest EHS news, trends and business developments.
